Triathlon
Stonar School is proud to offer an established and thriving Triathlon Club, giving pupils the opportunity to develop their swimming, cycling and running skills within a supportive and joyful environment. Rooted in our philosophy of Achieve with Joy, the programme encourages pupils to challenge themselves, grow in confidence and enjoy every step of their athletic journey.
The club makes full use of Stonar’s excellent facilities, combining pool-based swim training with cycling and running sessions across our extensive grounds. The variety of terrain and the safe, spacious setting allow pupils to train effectively in all three disciplines.

Meet Jodie Swallow, our Head of Triathlon
Jodie currently leads the British Triathlon Olympic Regional Academy for the South West. Bringing over 20 years of professional triathlon experience – including titles such as Ironman 70.3 World Champion, twice ITU Long Distance Triathlon World Champion, and top-four finisher at the Ironman World Championships in Kona – she is uniquely qualified to inspire and lead the next generation of athletes.
In addition to her elite achievements, Jodie and her husband James have been pivotal in running a Triathlon Club at Stonar for both Prep and Senior School pupils over the past academic year. Pupils in the Prep Triathlon Club have already been competing successfully in local events, gaining valuable early exposure to the sport.
Stonar's Headmaster, Matthew Way, added: "Welcoming Jodie to lead our triathlon programme marks an exciting milestone for Stonar. Her world-class experience and passion for youth development align perfectly with our vision to nurture resilience, determination, and sporting excellence in our pupils."
