Teaching listening to a pupil share

Pastoral Care

A nurturing ethos is integral to the school, backed up by a robust pastoral structure that ensures the very best care for your child.

We know our pupils as individuals; not just to help every child feel valued and known, but so that we can spot when things might not be quite right and know what to do in those instances.

It is a privilege for us to be there for our pupils' journey. We celebrate their many successes, support them through challenges and they know we are there for them whenever they need us, so they feel happy, safe and can flourish and feel comfortable in themselves.

We are absolutely thrilled with our daughter's A Level results but we couldn’t have got through the last few years without Stonar’s kindness and support. The team at Stonar have been with her every step of the way and we are so very grateful."

Health and Wellbeing Centre

The Health and Wellbeing Centre (HWBC) lies at the centre of the campus and is staffed by Registered Nurses with training in all aspects of young people’s needs and providing complete professional care to all pupils.

Head of the Health & Wellbeing Centre and Lead Nurse Sister Walter holds drop-in sessions every day and a school counsellor joins the school on a weekly basis. Sister Walter is able to provide out of hours medical support for boarders.
