Two pupils with teacher in a Maths lesson
Year 9

Year 9

Year 9 is all about ownership and leadership of self and others. Pupils are nurtured and assisted through a leadership programme to take ownership of the initial stage of the journey towards success in their GCSE exams.

The Stonar 9

In the Summer Term of Year 8, pupils and their families are supported in their first decisions on the path to the GCSE options.

The core subjects of English, Maths, Science, Humanities and PE & Games continue to be offered in Year 9, but pupils benefit from a more focussed approach to their studies.
