Livery & Loan

All of our horses are on Bedmax shavings. If you are on the Exclusive Livery package, you will receive 1 bale of shavings per week and 2 bales per week if you are on the Full Livery package. 

Included within all livery packages are ad lib hay and a selection of hard feed:

• Alfa-A-Chaff or Molasses free Chaff
• Master cubes
• Performance mix

If you require different feed to the above, you will need to supply and maintain stock of your feeds. We have a local country store, Wadswick, that delivers to us monthly; you are able to call to pay for your feed and ask for it to be added to the delivery. 

Haylage can be available upon request and is charged as an additional fee.

We have specific turn out designated for liveries. The paddocks are all individual turn out pens with wooden posts and three rails of wide electric tape that is live. The turn-out plan will be created and shared on arrival with you. It will take into consideration the times of your riding lessons, therefore some pupils will receive morning turn out for half a day and others afternoon turn out for half a day.

After the initial quarantine period, we aim to turn out every horse all year round for some time each day (weather dependent).

Farrier
We have a farrier onsite during term time every Monday and Thursday. We are able to arrange the shoeing of your horse but will require you to fill out a Microsoft form before you arrive.

Dentist
We have a regularly 6 monthly visit from our horse dentist, it is normally recommended to be done every 9 months. Again, a form will need to be submitted before you arrive.

All horses who livery at Stonar must be registered with both of the following veterinary practices prior to arrival:

• Lambourn Equine Vets 
• B&W Equine Vets, Breadstone Clinic

Stables will be made up with bedding for your arrival at the start of each term and we will require you to empty you stable completely at the end of each term.

Yes, we use AG + who are a biosecurity service that helps to keep our yard’s pathogen level to a minimum, promoting the health and well-being of our animals.

We also require your horse's temperature to be recorded three days prior to arrival, which will continued to be checked daily for three weeks after arrival by staff.
