We strive to make our environment safe and secure for all pupils and staff.
Improvise, Adapt and Overcome! That has been our motto since last year, and that motto is still apparent in the behaviours and attitudes in school. Stonar remains committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of everyone in the Stonar community, ensuring appropriate Government measures are adopted to support our pupils, staff and visitors onsite.

A message from Mr Way, 6 November 2020:
The first half of the Autumn Term was very busy and there was much to celebrate, I am really proud of our pupils and their adaptability. They returned from the summer holidays energised and positive about their learning and they have embraced the revised school day along with any tweaks we have made during the term.
Unlike many schools in our area, at the time of writing, we have been fortunate to not have been required to isolate a year group or learning bubble. Since the Autumn Term started, we have provided live-streamed lesson to those pupils who have been required to quarantine using Microsoft Teams, each classroom has been set up with equipment to facilitate this method and it has worked well.
I am committed to being as prepared as we can be to meet the challenges we may face in the coming months. As such, we have been planning for various scenarios that could affect our learning on site at any time. We have carried out an ‘Are you ready to learn remotely?’ audit with all pupils in the Senior School. This enabled us to identify any areas where training or equipment may be required to support online learning. We will use Tutor Time to support further training where required. These preparations ensure we are ready and able to switch to online learning immediately in event of a full lock-down, or being required to close temporarily by Public Health England.
The booklets below seek to provide parents with practical information so that you can prepare, as we are, for various ‘What if?’ scenarios.
It is fantastic to have welcomed all of our pupils back to School at the start of term. Please read our Autumn@Stonar information booklet below to find out more about the measures we have taken to fully reopen the School.
