Scholarships & Bursaries

At Stonar, we are committed to nurturing exceptional talent – whether academic, artistic, dramatic, musical, sporting, or equestrian. Our Scholarships are designed to recognise potential, celebrate achievement, and provide outstanding opportunities for pupils to grow and thrive in their chosen field.

Being a Stonar Scholar is about more than receiving an award. It means joining a vibrant, supportive community that values curiosity, creativity, leadership, and excellence. Scholars are expected to demonstrate passion, commitment, and active engagement in their specialism, making a meaningful contribution to school life.

We foster self-motivation and ambition, with tailored support from expert staff who create enriching opportunities for each pupil to be inspired, to excel - and to achieve with joy.

Stonar offers a range of scholarships to talented pupils applying for entry into Years 7, 9 and the Sixth Form.

Candidates may apply for a maximum of two scholarship awards.

Applicants are encouraged to consult the Head Teacher of their current school about the suitability of their son or daughter for such an award.
Additional supporting reports from teachers or coaches are requested as part of the application process.

Bursaries

Bursaries are intended to provide financial assistance to families unable to afford the full fee, but where a child would benefit from the education provided at Stonar and it is considered that the child would significantly contribute to the life of the School. Priority is likely to be given to applicants of scholarship standard.

Bursaries are awarded based on full financial disclosure via our application form and submission of supporting documentation. Parents may also be interviewed by the Head in relation to the application.

Further details are available in the Scholarship Information Booklet.
