Graduate Resident Assistant

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic post University student to fulfil the role of Graduate Resident Assistant; with duties undertaken throughout all areas of the school, taking account where possible, of the skills and interests of the particular individual.

The Graduate Resident Assistant will be actively involved assisting in the smooth running of all aspects of the school life as a team member on the school staff and in particular assisting within the boarding houses.

On-site accommodation is available.

This is a fixed term position and will end Mid July 2019 or December 2019.

Evening Domestic Assistant

Subject Leader of Chemistry

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced and enthusiastic teacher of chemistry to join a well-established science department. Chemistry at Stonar is a thriving subject at GCSE and A level. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Science to promote the study and enjoyment of science throughout the school; to lead in the teaching and learning of chemistry up to and including A Level; and, to teach biology and physics to KS3. A willingness and ability to teach one other science to GCSE level will be an advantage. This is an excellent opportunity for a well-qualified teacher to join a successful, well-resourced department and to work with enthusiastic, positive pupils.

A willingness to be involved in the extra-curricular life of this busy boarding school is required.

Part-time Yard Manager/Coach

The school’s internationally renowned Equestrian Centre enables riders to bring their horses to school or loan a school horse. Tuition is available at all levels from beginners, to those hoping to achieve professional status. The school hosts national Inter-Schools’ One Day Events in May and September.

An experienced Yard Manager/Coach is required to join the team.   Candidates will preferably hold the BHSII or be an experienced BHSAI and must have experience of working on a professional yard and the ability to teach a wide range of stable management skills to children, including training students for BHS examinations.

This role is a term time only, part time role working 27 hours per week. Salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications.  Some evenings and weekend work will be required.

Graduate Equestrian Assistant

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, flexible and efficient person to join our existing team with an ability to assist and mentor our Equestrian Apprentices.

This role would suite someone who is working towards completion of their BHS Stage 2 or 3 in Complete Horsemanship.  The successful applicant will have access to training from highly qualified staff.

This is a full time position with a requirement to work some weekends.

Equestrian Apprentice

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and efficient person to join our existing team. Top level coaching provided towards BHS exams, NVQ in horse care and Haddon Training apprenticeships.  Regular lessons in both showjumping and dressage with our coaches are included.

The successful candidate will be a dedicated, motivated person and preferably have some industry experience. Candidates must show good communication skills and enjoy working with children.

This is a full time position with a requirement to work some weekends.

The Graduate Resident Languages Assistant will also be actively involved assisting in the smooth running of all aspects of the school life as a team member on the school staff and in particular assisting within the boarding houses.

Flexibility and good communication skills are essential.

This is a residential post and on-site accommodation is provided.

This is a fixed term position and will end Mid July 2019.

Full Time Maintenance Assistant

We require a full-time Maintenance Assistant to join the school’s maintenance team, carrying out general maintenance and caretaking tasks at the School.

Candidates must have a proven track record of general maintenance work,be reliable, conscientious and a team player. 

40 hours per week.  Monday to Friday.
