Nursery and Prep School Teachers

The Nursery and Prep School Teachers team provides classroom teaching, pastoral care and specialist tuition across the Prep years, from Nursery and Reception through Year 6. The department includes class teachers, music and sport specialists, learning support and wrap‑around care staff.

The Nursery and Prep School Teachers team includes the Director of Music, Assistant Director of Music, Director of Prep Sport, Head of Prep Learning Support, ELSAs and wrap‑around care staff, as well as teaching assistants and forest school leaders to support a broad curriculum.

The Head of Prep, Mr Rob Cunningham, oversees the Nursery and Prep School Teachers, supported by a Head of Early Years and individual year‑group teachers and specialist leads (music, sport, learning support) to ensure cohesive pastoral and academic provision.

The Nursery and Prep School Teachers include a dedicated Head of Prep Learning Support (Mrs Jo Birkett‑Wendes), learning support teachers and assistants, and an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) to provide targeted interventions and one‑to‑one support; contact the Learning Support lead for assessment and provision details.
