Year 2 Brings History to Life
Last Friday, Year 2 pupils stepped back in time for their exciting History Day, arriving at school dressed as iconic historical figures who have made lasting contributions to the world. Each child had researched their chosen person and confidently presented their findings to the class, kicking off a fun-filled day of historical enquiry and discovery.
The classroom was alive with characters from across time - from monarchs like King George VI and William the Conqueror, to pioneers such as Marie Curie, Amy Johnson, and Wilbur Wright. Sporting legend Bobby Moore made an appearance, alongside cultural icons like Elvis Presley and Walt Disney. Other standouts included Florence Nightingale, Jane Austen, Joan of Arc, Princess Diana, Sir Edmund Hillary, Field Marshal Montgomery, Alexander Fleming, and William Shakespeare.

It was a day full of creativity, confidence, and curiosity - a wonderful way to bring history to life through learning and play.
