Year 2 Dress as Iconic Historical Figures
Year 2 pupils stepped back in time for their exciting History Day, arriving at school dressed as iconic historical figures who have made lasting contributions to the world. Each child had researched their chosen person and confidently presented their findings to the class, kicking off a fun-filled day of historical enquiry and discovery.
The classroom was alive with characters from across time – from monarchs like William the Conqueror and Queen Elizabeth II, to pioneers such as Mary Anning, Florence Nightingale, Emmeline Pankhurst, and Gertrude Ederle. Aviation legends Amelia Earhart and Neil Armstrong made an appearance, alongside sporting hero Sir Roger Bannister and Private Robert Conroy.
It was a day full of creativity, confidence, and curiosity – a wonderful way to bring history to life through learning and play.
