Team Stonar impress at competitive Tristar event
Team Stonar delivered an outstanding set of performances at a highly competitive Tristar triathlon, with strong results across both the boys’ and girls’ races and clear evidence of continued development throughout the squad.
Gabby H, racing a year under age, produced a standout performance to finish 6th in a deep field, beating several previous regional representatives and strengthening her case for IRC South West qualification if her progress continues. In the boys’ race, Ted T was exceptional, taking 2nd place overall (2nd South West) with a superb 3:17/km run, firmly establishing himself as a contender for the Regional Series title. Jack C also impressed, finishing 11th (4th SW) while competing against older athletes, and Josh R placed 13th (6th SW), recording the fastest bike split of all Stonar athletes. Bruno T’s result was unfortunately not recorded due to a timing chip issue, though he was understood to be closely matched with teammates Jack and Josh, suggesting a strong collective showing.
The girls’ race also brought podium success for Stonar, with Gabia U finishing 2nd and Lottie N close behind in 3rd, completing a dominant presence at the front of the field. Overall, the event highlighted significant progress across the group, with athletes gaining valuable race experience and confidence in a highly competitive environment. Attention now turns to the Stonehenge Triathlon this Sunday, the next fixture in the South West series.
