TEACHER TUESDAY: Julie Braddon

Who are you and when did you join Stonar?
Julie Braddon, Equestrian Centre Manager since July 2024 

Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I grew up in Taunton. I always wanted to work with horses and went to a riding school near Cambridge to train for my BHSAI after 1 year at a secretarial college (at my mum's request so I had something to fall back to if horses didn't work). I've never looked back since!

What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to grow things - usually flowers and vegetables! I like looking after my sheep, lambs and chickens. I also enjoy competing my horse, walking my dog, going to the races, holidays in the sun and reading crime thrillers - although I never get who dunnit! 

What is your favourite part about the job?
Inspiring people! 

What are you looking forward to this year at Stonar?
Watching the yard grow and develop and run efficiently.

What is a fun fact about you?
I love 80's music, have met Madonna and Guy Ritchie and have Paraglided even though I hate heights!
