Year 11 pupils at Stonar are celebrating their GCSE results today, marking yet another year of strong academic and personal achievement.
An impressive 45% of all GCSEs were awarded grades 9-7 (A*-A ), while 95% achieved grades 9-4 (A*-C).
Stonar’s Headmaster, Matthew Way, said: "We are immensely proud of our Year 11 pupils, whose hard work and dedication have been rewarded with these excellent GCSE results.
“At Stonar, we believe that a joyful learning environment is essential for unlocking each pupil's full potential. By igniting curiosity and fostering resilience, we've empowered our pupils to not only excel academically but to become well-rounded individuals poised to make a positive impact on the world. We are excited to see what the future holds for them."
Bonnie W, who has been at Stonar since Nursery, gained an impressive set of results today. She said: "I am really happy with my results. I would like to say a big thank you to the teachers who have been there for me along the way. I am looking forward to coming back to school in a couple of weeks as a Sixth Former, when I will be studying Physics, Maths, History and Economics."
Wilf B, who achieved some of the top grades of the year, said: "I'm really happy with my results. I had some great teachers last year and I’d like to thank them for all the support they gave me."
Immi B is also celebrating and looking forward to staying at Stonar for Sixth Form. She said: "I’m really pleased with the results I’ve achieved. The teachers at Stonar have given me lots of individual support and know me so well. They knew when to push me and, at other times, when I needed help on something I was finding tricky, they were kind and patient. I'm delighted to be continuing my studies at Stonar, where I have chosen A Levels in Spanish, PRE and History."
Jo Worrall, Senior Deputy Head at Stonar, added: "It has been wonderful to see our pupils achieving so well after two years of hard work across such a wide range of subjects, with many personal triumphs at all grade levels. Their commitment to learning is commendable, and we wish them every success in their next steps."
