Globeducate International Music Festival
Six of our pupils, from Year 8 - Upper Sixth, had a fantastic time at the Globeducate International Music Festival in Barcelona last week, where they joined 200 others from 22 Globeducate schools from Canada, Cyprus, France, Italy, Portugal and Spain.
The Music Festival, now in its 12th year, was hosted by Agora Sant Cugat School, and had the theme of 'Heal the World', which could be heard throughout the musical program consisting of:
"Livin' On a Prayer" - Bon Jovi (INSTRUMENTAL)
"Color esperanza" - Diego Torres
"Heal the World" - Michael Jackson
"Moving" - Macaco
"Another Day in Paradise" - Phil Collins
"Blowin' in the Wind" - Bob Dylan
"Shiny Happy People" - REM
They had busy days of practice and rehearsals, which were followed by evenings spent with their host families. The three-day event ended with a concert finale in the Sant Cugat Theatre-Auditorium. You can view the concert here:

Nikki Budd, Stonar's Director of Music accompanied our pupils to the Festival, said: "It was a brilliant experience, with our pupils making new friends, learning new techniques and building their confidence.
"Their behaviour, attitude and professionalism was impeccable and I was extremely proud to be their teacher. Our talented pupils not only showcased their musical skills, but were excellent role models during the event - something which everyone commented on!"
The Globeducate International Music Festival is just one of many events held throughout the year that Stonar pupils attend. You can find out more here.
