Stonar Pupils Celebrate 2026 GCSE Results
Stonar’s Year 11 pupils are celebrating today after receiving their GCSE results, with many achieving significantly above their national standardised predictions and showing excellent progress during their time at the School.
With a 100% pass rate, many pupils achieved results an average of two grades higher than their CEM national standardised predictions. In addition, 100% of pupils taking Higher Tier Maths passed, while Food and Nutrition grades were, on average, two grades higher than national standardised predictions. The School is also celebrating the achievements of its younger pupils, with 100% of Year 10 pupils who took Statistics a year early achieving Grade 5 or above. All this is evidence of the value-added that Stonar provides.
On the back of our best A-level results over the past ten years outside the Covid period, these results show the depth of academic opportunity and success available at Stonar.

Jo Worrall, Senior Deputy Head, added: “Today is a chance to celebrate the individual achievements of every pupil. We have watched this year group grow in confidence and maturity, and we are incredibly proud of what they have accomplished.
“We wish all our pupils every success as they take their next steps, whether continuing their education with A levels or vocational pathways."

Daisy D said: “I’m really pleased with my results, particularly in Maths. I was so worried about today, but I didn’t expect to get so many 9s! The care and support I’ve received at Stonar has made such a difference to me, and being in smaller classes has really helped too. I couldn’t be happier.”
Saskia V said: “I’m delighted with the support I’ve received at Stonar, and these grades have surpassed all my expectations. I’d especially like to thank my Maths teacher, who has really helped me along the way. I’m now looking forward to starting my A Levels.”
Josh P said: “I am so pleased to have achieved such great GCSE results today! A huge thank you to all my teachers for their support and encouragement. I’m excited to continue my journey at Stonar Sixth Form from September, studying for my A Levels."
Sofia B said: “I’m over the moon and still in a little bit of shock! I’ve done so much better than I thought I would. I can’t wait to come back to Stonar to study A Levels in PRE, Psychology and Biology.”
