Stonar Launches New Triathlon Club

Stonar is delighted to launch an exciting new Triathlon Club, open to pupils from Year 2 right through to Upper Sixth, further enhancing the school’s vibrant co-curricular programme, which already boasts over 20 daily activities each term.

The club is led by world-class coaches James and Jodie Cunnama - a renowned team of former professional triathletes. With numerous major titles to their names, including World Championship wins, they bring a wealth of elite-level experience. Jodie also represented Great Britain at the Athens Olympic Games, offering a truly inspiring role model for young athletes at Stonar.

Club members train across all three triathlon disciplines: swimming in the school’s indoor pool, running through its 90-acre grounds, and cycling on site with their own bikes. This hands-on, all-round training experience is both accessible for pupils of all ages and abilities.

Designed to ignite a love for endurance sports, the club emphasises fun, active participation, and personal growth. It also encourages pupils to take part in local and national competitions, including triathlons, duathlons, and running events.

It's already proving to be a hit with pupils!
