Reception Pupils Perform Piano Recital

Reception pupils recently shared their piano playing with classmates in a short recital, giving them the chance to perform some of the pieces they have been learning this year.

Performing in front of an audience is a valuable experience for young musicians, and the children approached the occasion with enthusiasm and confidence.

Their teacher, Dr Hopkins, noted that it is relatively uncommon for children to begin piano lessons at such a young age, as many schools introduce instrumental tuition later on. Starting early can help children develop listening, concentration and coordination skills, while also encouraging confidence and adaptability in their learning.

The recital was a lovely opportunity for pupils to celebrate their progress and enjoy making music together.
