Raspberry Pi Competition Final

A team of our talented pupils have been named as finalists in the 14th PA Raspberry Pi Competition, one of the UK’s leading national coding and engineering challenges for young people.

Out of more than 150 teams from schools across the country, our pupils are among just 16 teams to progress to the final stage of the prestigious competition.

The annual competition challenges pupils to design and build systems that could make a positive difference to society using their engineering skills, coding knowledge and a Raspberry Pi microcomputer. Participants are encouraged to think creatively about real-world problems and develop practical solutions that could improve people’s lives.

PA Consulting, which runs the competition, describes the event as an opportunity to showcase the imagination of young people:

“We’re challenging this cohort of young people across the UK to invent systems that could benefit society using their engineering and coding skills, and a Raspberry Pi microcomputer. The ingenuity of children is remarkable, so we give it a place to thrive.”

Reaching the final is a significant achievement and reflects the hard work and technical ability of the pupils involved.

The team will travel to London on Wednesday 6 May for the competition’s Awards Day, where the finalists will present their projects and discover who will be crowned this year’s winners.

We are immensely proud of the pupils’ success and wishes them the very best for the final.
