Day 1

Their adventure kicked off with a relaxing dip in the Secret Lagoon, Iceland's oldest swimming pool. Next, they explored the Friðheimar Geothermal Greenhouses, learning about sustainable farming before heading to the stables for an impressive riding demonstration showcasing the unique five Icelandic gaits.

The day continued with a visit to the iconic Golden Circle landmarks: Geysire, Gullfoss waterfall and Þingvellir National Park. To top it all off, they were treated to a breathtaking Northern Lights display, a magical end to an action-packed first day!

Day 2

The pupils began the day at Skógafoss, a stunning waterfall fed by glaciers, before braving 85km/h gusts at Sólheimajökull glacier. Next they visited the hidden Gljúfrabúi waterfall and walked behind the magnificent Seljalandsfoss.

After a well-earned lunch, they delved into the world of volcanoes at the Lava Centre before heading to the Kerið Crater, an extinct volcano with a striking blue lake.

They wrapped up the day with a sweet treate at Huppa Ice Cream Parlour!

Day 3

The pupils started the day at Hveragerði hot springs, exploring the geothermally active valley and marveling at the natural hot springs and warm streams. Next, they ventured into Raufarhólshellir, one of Iceland's largest and longest lava caves, created by flowing lava from volcanic eruption!

In Reykjavík , they went to FlyOver Iceland, an immersive multisensory experience, followed by The Lava Show, the only place in the world where you can safely witness and feel the heat of molten lava!

They wrapped up the day with a delicious meal at Olifa Pizzeria before strolling along the Reykjavík waterfront to the iconic Sun Voyager sculpture.

Day 4 and Departure

On their final day, the pupils enjoyed a leisurely morning, taking time to explore Reykjavik before embarking on their last two stops on the Reykjanes Peninsula.

Their first destination was the Bridge Between Continents, a 15-meter (50-foot) footbridge spanning a dramatic rift between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates - a striking reminder of the Earth's ever-shifting landscape.

Next, they visited Gunnuhver hot springs, a highly active geothermal area in the southwest of the peninsula, where bubbling mud pools and powerful steam vents create an eerie yet mesmerizing atmosphere. The thick, sulfur-scented vapors definitely added to the experience!
