A Sunny Weekend of Boarding Activities

The sunshine continues to shine on Stonar, so we are getting our boarders outside as much as possible. From water challenges, walks to the village, games of tag, prep on the lawn, running round the track, relaxing with music in the sunshine, a game of tennis, visiting the ponies or kicking a ball about, the pupils are making the most of the weather.

Mr Boxall and Mr Morrisey ran an excellent football tournament activity on Saturday afternoon for all KS3 boarders with lots of mini matches and challenges in between. There were four teams, with Team Falin being the victors. In the evening, we were able to open the swimming pool thanks to Miss Criddle. This is a popular activity for boarders from Year 6 to Sixth Form.

At 8.00am Sunday morning, 30 boarders and day pupils headed off to Badminton Horse Trials with Mrs Fisher, Miss Criddle and Mr Morrisey. Lots of shopping, eating and relaxing in the sun watching the showjumping on the big screens meant happy faces, tired feet and many bags returning to the boarding houses ready for tidy hour and quiet time in house.
