Chard Equestrian Event

We had a very successful day of jumping last weekend, with our Academy teams taking a trip down to Chard Equestrian for their BE Just for Schools competition.

It was a beautiful bright sunny day and we came away with plenty of ribbons!

Well done to all who took part, and a huge thanks to all parents who supported, as well as Miss Chilcott, Miss Wilks and Academy Coach Liza Allen for all your help on the day.

Other Competition Successes

Congratulations to Felix N (Y7) who recently competed in the combined training and West Wilts and came awa y with a WIN, despite the majority of his class consisting of adults!  Well done Felix!

Eve S (Y10) is another Stonar rider who is heading off to the British Eventing ACE (Anyone Can Event) series Championship at Aintree in June, with a second place in her qualifier.  Huge congratulations Eve!

Staff Success

In the half term Miss Chilcott, with Stonar horse Sergeant, and Mrs Holt with her ride Yocasta, headed off to Kingston Maurward for the Pet Plan Winter Area Festival.

They were both competing at Medium level, having gained their qualifications through the season.  It was a large class of almost 40 entries and they both ended up with a top ten finish - Mrs Holt in 6th with Miss Chilcott closely following in 7th (a difference of only 1% -looks like a friendly in-house rivalry might be starting up!).

Well done to both of you!
