Sixth Form

"By the time they leave the school, pupils demonstrate an extremely high standard of personal development. They are mature, knowledgeable, independent and compassionate citizens, ready to contribute to society as a whole, and particularly to their universities, colleges and workplaces in the future"   ISI Report

Sixth Formers are always "up for a challenge" and develop an increased sense of self-confidence and academic potential.

The lifestyle of the Sixth Form provides greater independence. Pupils will study 3 - 5 subjects and take control of their own study to a greater degree. This presents both the challenge and the opportunity of enjoying their key areas of interest. Relationships between pupils and senior staff are very positive and rewarding; each girl will receive as much support as she needs.

Vocational qualifications are available in our Equestrian Centre, including EQLs in Horse Care and Management, the UKCC and coaching towards the British Horse Society's Assistant Instructor certificate. These can be studied on their own or alongside academic subjects.

Beyond academic studies, there is a wide range of activities for students to choose from including Cookery Toolbox run by the Leiths School of Food and Wine; the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme; plus a variety of physical and cultural activities.
