Brilliant Barcelona!

A group of Years 5-8 have just returned from a week in Barcelona after a fantastic immersive week of culture, language and international friendship.

The group were hosted by pupils and staff from the Agora International School, a sister school of Stonar's and part of the NACE school group. Pupils were partnered up with a Spanish counterpart, who they shadowed for the week; attending lessons in both English and Spanish, as well as some in Catalan.

The trip allowed for more than just study, with a multitude of tourist attractions being on the group's itinerary. Visits were made to locations such as such as Montserrat Mountain, Gaudi's Parc Guell and Casa Mila as well as visiting the famous Sagrada Familia. The group also had a chance to look around Camp Nou, the home of Barcelona FC.

A highlight of the trip for the pupils however was the relationships they forged with their new friends from Agora. Many pairs exchanged contact information, and several pupils will host their partner in return next month when Stonar is set to host the NACE Olympics.

The students were praised by both their teachers and their hosts on their exceptional behaviour throughout the trip. Lots more pictures can be seen on our Facebook page.
