The New Health & Well-being Centre

The new Health and Well-being Centre is a cosy and relaxing space at the heart of Stonar, combining home comforts in a modern, clean space.

Sister Jo Walford, BSc (Hons) Nurse Practitioner (Non-Medical Prescribing), joins Sister Sue Day on the team, and together they provide a comprehensive, professional health service to pupils.

For day to day needs, Sister Day and Sister Walford are a friendly and approachable team providing warm and supportive care for all pupils. Visiting doctors provide regular clinics for boarders and the school counsellor also is available for additional support where required.

The new facility has a range of calm and practical rooms for pupils, all freshly refurbished, whether they need a private consultation or if they are under the weather.

Recently, the Health and Well-being Centre threw its doors open for the Macmillan Coffee Morning, inviting parents and staff in to join them for a coffee, piece of cake and the opportunity to view the new facility. Parents were impressed by what they saw, praising the ‘relaxing’ rooms and ambience. The team were delighted to raise £105 for Macmillan.
