The Sixth Form

We are proud of the Sixth Form students that Stonar produces. They leave the school as polite, articulate and confident young ladies ready to engage with the wider world. Stonar Sixth Form students are always “up for a challenge” and being in a single sex environment, they develop a significantly increased sense of self-confidence and academic potential.

The lifestyle of the Sixth Form provides greater independence. Students will study 3 - 5 subjects and take control of their own study to a greater degree. This presents both the challenge and the opportunity of enjoying their key areas of interest. Relationships between students and senior staff are very positive and rewarding; students will receive as much support as they need.

Beyond academic studies, there is a wide range of activities for students to choose from including the excellent Leith’s Basic Certificate in Food & Wine; the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme; the internationally respected British Horse Society’s Assistant Instructor qualification, plus a variety of physical and cultural activities.
