Parents

Stonar values greatly the support it receives from the parent community and we are constantly seeking ways to improve communications and the flow of information to and from the school. It is intended that this section of the website will provide parents with easily accessible information and news relating to their children's school lives.

The school hosts a number of social evenings for parents throughout the year, culminating in a range of activities and buffet lunch on Speech Day. A parent class-rep system is in place through the Prep School and up to Year 9 in the Senior School to help new parents ‘settle in’, with friendly advice, introductions and coffee mornings. Parent class reps

A flourishing parent-run fundraising and social organisation Friends of Stonar, exists to raise additional funds for school facilities and to provide a social network for parents. The committee comprises parents and staff representatives including the Headmistress and Bursar. Social and fundraising events have included Xmas Fayres, coffee mornings, quiz nights, summer Balls, ‘Hoe Downs’ and BBQs.
